Los Lobos is undoubtedly, one of the most successful Mexican-American rock bands in the world and one of the most prolific, with more than 15 albums released over the past four decades. Their 1984 T-Bone Burnett-produced How Will the Wolf Survive? was ranked 30 on Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Rock Albums of the 1980s. And the quintet’s crisp Tex-Mex-blues-rock-country cocktail has attracted a Holy Grail of collaborators including Jerry Garcia, Tom Waits, Elvis Costello and Bob Dylan. Recently, the East L.A. band released Los Lobos Goes Disney, featuring Disney classics performed with that Mexi-rock spice we have come to love so much. Legendary fingerpicker Leo Kottke will join Los Lobos. (See Music story.) [AJ]
