Local award-winning photographer Douglas Steakley has made two treks into the tropical rainforests of Rwanda's Volanoes National Park to capture these still images of the mighty but endangered silverback gorilla. He imparts tips on how to photograph these regal animals (you never know when that will come in handy) and talks about his experiences in their company.
