With his long, jet-black locks cascading down a shiny shirt that’s tucked into tight cowboy jeans, Alex Reymundo is the picture of a “Hick-Spanic,” the title of his one-hour comedy special that has recently aired on Showtime and Comedy Central. Reymundo builds his half-Hillbilly, half-Latino comedy from his experiences growing up in a large Mexican family in Texas and then marrying a blonde, blue-eyed Southern belle from Kentucky. Known as one of the “Original Latin Kings of Comedy” along with George Lopez, Cheech Marin and Paul Rodriguez, Reymundo has also produced and hosted the Latin Kings of Comedy’s follow-up shows “The Original Latin Divas of Comedy” and “Payaso Comedy Slam.” His feature credits include “The Movement,” “El Matador,” “Cars” and “Permanent Vacation.” [MQ]
