Monterey's answer to the Bay Area's The Tubes, The Medflys were this area's biggest band during the '80s. Performing a mix of pop, ska and New Wave, the group will always be remembered for their supremely '80s music video "Don't Mess With the Mayor," which lampooned Clint Eastwood's stint as Carmel's mayor. Tonight, the band's members come in from Australia, Utah, Idaho and Southern California to reunite for this show benefiting the local chapter of Surfrider. [ST]
