Family Science & Health Day at Hartnell College

This fourth annual event consumes a big chunk of the campus and gives it over to families to explore the various halls of learning like the Merrill Hall Science Building, housing astronomy and zoology displays, and planting a play area with bounce houses to test the laws of physics. Alisal students perform folklorico, mariachi and ritmo in the amphitheater, NASA atronaut Jon Philips comes to speak, and a free planetarium show, every 30 minutes, furthers the wonders of space. A free water and hot dogs ('til supplies last). [WR]
