The Monterey Bay Chapter of the American Red Cross hosts the traveling photo exhibit of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Our World at War, from April 18-May 31. The ICRC commissioned VII Photo Agency to send five photographers—Ron Haviv, James Nachtwev, Antonin Kratochvil, Franco Pagetti and Christopher Morris—into hot zones across the globe like Georgia, Afghanistan, Columbia, Democratic Republic of Congo and others, and come back with "first-hand" accounts at destruction of war. Launched from Geneva, the show's already traveled to 40 countries. Now it's our turn.
10am-5pm daily. National Steinbeck Center, 1 Main St., Salinas. $10.95/adult, $8.95/senior, student and military with ID, $7.95/youth 13-17, $5.95/child 6-12, free/child 5 and under. 775-4721. http://www.steinbeck.org.
