The Kronos Quartet’s Requiem for a Dream soundtrack may be the most powerful musical conceptions of life as a junky and one of the most poignant film scores in recent history. But everything the world-renowned Bay Area string quartet has done over its 30-year career has been powerful. And they have written or arranged more than 450 pieces over the years. Kronos has worked with everyone from David Byrne and Phillip Glass to John Lurie. At Sunset, Kronos will perform George Crumb’s 1971 experimental musical response to the Vietnam War, Black Angels.
