During the early '00s, the Monterey music scene was dominated by metal bands like Retribution, Plaster, Legion Victorious and Red Light Nightmare. Formed in 2006, the Monterey metal quartet Counter Clockwise missed the golden age of the Monterey metal scene, but they keep the hard riffs coming for the any remaining local metalheads on songs like "Neo." It begins with chainsaw riffs before the vocalist sings: "I drink/ I smoke too much/ I want to feel alive/ Yeeeaaahhhhh!" Rock on! [ST]
