Jeb Bush, the former governor of Florida (and a contributor to Adam Moniz's Carmel mayoral campaign) and the inimitable James Carville, a former advisor to Bill Clinton who was instrumental in the "War Room'' team that helped propel Bubba into the presidency, will be speaking on "Our Politics: Does Bipartisanship Have a Future?'' as part of the 2010 lecture series sponsored by the Panetta Institute for Public Policy. Jeb was originally thought of as his father's most likely successor until Fredo, er, "W'' surprised everyone with his meteoric rise . The results are well-known, as are the results these days of Obama reaching out for bipartisanship, but maybe they'll come up with some new solutions. Carville, at any rate, is always entertaing. These events tend to sell out, but it’s aired live by Comcast on channel 26 and KAZU. [PW] 7pm. Golden State Theatre, 417 Alvarado St. Monterey. 582-4200, 646-3770. $85/standby ticket.
