Renowned figurative sculptor Richard MacDonald recreates the human body with fidelity to the spirit of movement, grace and athleticism. He's shown his works throughout the world, including Japan, Korea, Italy and Washington D.C., for events and clients such as the U.S. Open Golf Tournament at Pebble Beach and Cirque du Soleil, and has been collected by former President Bill Clinton and former Senator and current Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, bestselling author Dean Koontz, singer Leanne Rimes and the late opera star Luciano Pavarotti. Now MacDonald offers a special two-day show of recent works including Bullwhip, Leap of Faith and pieces from his Royal Ballet Monument Project, done in bronze with platinum patina, and he talks each day—7-9pm Saturday and noon-3pm Sunday—about the creative process that produced these acclaimed works.
