In the decades since its opening in 1975, the Weston Gallery has showcased art ranging from historically pivotal Muybridge photographs to contemporary art pieces by newer names like Robert Weingarten and Ryuijie. The gallery is collecting up the most iconic pieces in its collection and displaying the cream of the crop for the anniversary show—a gallery's "greatest hits." And the hits are impressive: touting household photography names like Ansel Adams, Alfred Stieglitz, Edward Weston, and Paul Strand, the gallery's show will definitely cover the best images of the last 35 years at a gallery that's always been a local staple. The show runs from July 10 through Aug. 29 and gallery hours are 10:30am-5:30pm, seven days a week. [EH]
