August Shows and Free Lecture at Carmel Art Association

A two-person show, "Trees in the Night" featuring Dick Crispo who will showcase the color-saturated abstracted nocturnal tree forms in oil, acrylic and mixed media. Joining Crispo will be sculptor Gustavo Torres, who will showcase his bronze figurative sculpture reminiscent of ancient artifacts. The opening reception for this show is Saturday, August 7th from 6 to 8pm. Crispo, and Torres will be accompanied by other artist who will showcase their work as well and on Wednesday, August 25 at 7pm Crispo will give a slide-lecture on art history from a slightly different angle. The talk is free, and no reservations necessary. [DC]
