Sometimes you have to close your eyes and open your ears to realize what you’ve been missing out on just around the corner. For over a year East Village has housed the monthly ODYSSEY parties bringing together DJs to introduce the worlds of drum n’ bass, house, dub and techno. Worlds were music has a pulse and the artist names are usually stylistically misspelled and consonant-heavy. The Odyssey folks have invited DJM and Frankie from San Francisco for another all-ages show. All of those who were not in-the-know, grudgingly dancing to the same Top 40 songs every week can finally take a breath a relief and realize, “there is another way.” [LC]
