This is it (to borrow a phrase from the late, great Michael Jackson). The conclusion to the summer-long screening series that combined celestial stars, swaying redwoods, good coffee, popcorn and BYO wine with some of the most innovative and heartfelt short films the world over. Culled from hundreds by series curators and now honed to the best handful by celebrity/industry judges like performance artist/composer Laurie Anderson, composer Philip Glass (whose Koyaanisquatsi is on constant rotation on my headphones), Woody Harrelson (wasn't Zombieland just super?), film editor Susan Littenberg, Oscar-winning cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond and film producer Lawrence Inglee, the best of the fest is screened tonight. 7:30pm. Henry Miller Library, Highway 1, quarter mile south of Nepenthe, Big Sur. 667-2574. http://www.henrymiller.org.
