Tchaikovsky's seminal Christmas ballet suite. Dance Kids of Monterey County. Colorful (and diminutive) costumes. Sunset Center. Three nights of performances. It doesn't get much more enchanting than that. Except when it's preceded, as it is on Friday evening, by a gala benefit reception that includes early preferred seating, hors d'oeuvres, refreshments, raffle and silent auction. [WR]
