Old radio from the 1930s comes to life. Play It By Ear Productions presents the final performance by the Thrilling Days of Yesteryear. They perform four Marx Brothers radio skits from their show Flywheel, Shyster, and Flywheel. These are the four "lost episodes" that were part of the scripts recovered at the U.S. Copyright Office in 1988. They top off the night with a performance of Gasoline Alley, a comic adapted to a radio show in the 1940s. It's ironic that as this style of theater begins to catch fire in bigger cities, this will be the popular troupe's last Central Coast performance. Arriving early is highly recommended, and the $10 admission is paid at the door. The performance starts right at 7pm. [GS]
7pm. The Works, 667 Lighthouse Ave., Pacific Grove. $10. 372-2242. http://theworkspg.com/.
