Say it ain't so. Details are somewhat tentative, but Children's Experimental Theater and Staff Players Repertory Theater Company artistic director—and son of founder Marcia Grambell Hovick—Nick Hovick says that this show will mark the final curtain call of CET under the leadership of the Hovick family. The future of the theater day camp for kids, that taught a panalopy of skills from make-up to singing to sword play, is in doubt. What's for sure is that Taelen Thomas, Lynda Jardin and friends want to forge forward with this musical show—even as a Greek play's worth of maladies befall the Hovicks—as a small token of tribute to the 50-year-old institution. This could be the last weekend for you to pay tribute to and patronize a local theater pillar. [WR]
