This showcase captures the light of budding photographers and sets the focus on traditional methods of the craft. The Weston Scholarship holds an annual portfolio competition for students from Monterey County high schools and colleges, then selects the best black-and-white photographs to be included in the showcase gallery. The goal of the scholarship is to develop the talents of young artists and to preserve conventional processes both behind the lens and in the darkroom. This exhibit runs from Sept. 30, 2010 to Jan. 3, 2011. [DC]
