Goh Kurosawa plays “hitori,” “alone” in Japanese. But the man plays as if he has four hands, weaving mesmorizing melodies with thumping whomps on the body of his guitar, wobbling bass notes and peaceful plucks that suck you and don’t let you go. Kurosawa is a classically trained guitarist from Japan, a cultural influence that has left a definite mark on his sound, like on the woeful track “Itsukushimi.” But then he hits a distinctly Latin note on “Amai Koi.” He casts his inspiration net wide, and there’s a good chance he’ll get you hooked with his performance to night. 7-9pm. Plaza Linda, 9 Del Fino Place, Carmel Valley. Free. 659-4229.
