The Johnny Clay Band has played a party for a batch of devout Jehovah's Witnesses and a gathering of Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiasts. The almost six year old Salinas band can appeal to such a wide range of people due to a set list of almost 50 songs covering classic tunes by bluesman Albert King, country act Brooks & Dunn and classic rockers Creedence Clearwater Revival. But, according to bandleader Clay when the going gets tough the tough get rocking to Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" and the Rolling Stones' "Satisfaction." [ST]
