Jazz and R&B vocalist Nadia Deleye, a Hawaiian native jazzes it up with the Highlife crew. With the combined musical talent of Deleye and Yuichiro Nagai on saxophone, Nat Shuirman on bass, Jesse DeCarlo on guitar, Don Pendergrass on keyboards and Dave Roda on drums this group is sure to get your rhythm goin. The band covers popular hits everything from “Boogie Oogie Oogie” by Taste of Honey to “Don’t Cha” by Pussycat Dolls. Their cover of “Sweat” by Inner Circle summons the island feel with its easy grooves and Nadia’s melodic voice. [MH]
