For enhancing the "quality of life in our region through the arts," the Arts Council for Monterey County, for the fifth year, honors local movers and shakers like Disney artist/illustrator Ron Dias for Lifetime Achievment, artist/author Belle Yang as Lumirary, and five others in the fields of education, nonprofits, philanthropy, professionalism and volunteering. It's a colorful gala, appointed with creative and dedicated luminaries from across the region, gourmet dinner, a silent auction, music by Andrea's Fault and others, and promised "surprises."
