The World of Fishes at Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History

Think you know a thing or two about our local saltwater fishes? Know what a coelacanth is? Test your knowledge of skates, rays, sharks, deep-sea fishes, fish groups and genetic from saltwater vertebrates from around the world at the World of Fishes exhibit. Over the course of the exhibit, which runs Jan 31-Apr 24, check out the lectures from ichthyologists Dave Greenfield (Feb 20) and Greg Cailliet (March 6) about fish habitats around the world and in our own backyard. March 6 also offers up a free community day, at 3:30pm, in which visitors can engage with museum officials about the future of the museum. Local scientists also display current research being conducted in the Monterey Bay. [AS]
