The CAA is always busy gathering; they are, yet again, bringing us a variety of mediums such as oils, mixed medias, even bronze. June 5 marks the opening reception (complete with artists and refreshments) for a month-long show displayed June 3 to July 6. Exhibits include "New Work" by Keith Lindberg and Reed Farrington. Both use oil and vivid color. However, one focuses on the figure, while the other presents semi-abstract landscapes. The New Members Show offers sculptures by Yves Goyatton and Mike Donahue. Goyatton delivers figures integrating the human form with abstract shapes, while Donahue brings shoes to life. Other artists include Mary FitzGerald Beach, Susan Giacometti, and Mark Farina. June's showcase offers something for everyone—more traditional pieces and modern, contemporary works. [CT]
6-8pm June 3 opening reception; 10am-5pm daily. Carmel Art Association, Dolores Street between Fifth and Sixth, Carmel. Free. 624-6176. http://www.carmelart.org.
