Week seven screens a German/Pakistani/Indian short about an extraordinary event that takes place at the only bodercrossing between Pakistan and India along a 3000km stretch; a U.S. fable about an 8-year-old girl who searches for her long-lost father after her mother dies of cancer, accompanied by her formerly dead pet; a lyrical sketch from Bosnia about three old ladies having coffee in the company of youthful memories; a Palestinian number in which three boys make a film with the only equipment at their disposal—a surveillance camera—and hope that the jeep that approaches one day is bringing their tape to them; and ends with a French production in which a dream causes a young woman questions her love for the young man she's with.
Dusk (8-8:40pm) films start. Henry Miller Library, Highway 1, quarter mile south of Nepenthe, Big Sur. Free; donations appreciated. 667-2574. http://www.henrymiller.org.
