The doctor is in and back on his Yamaha M1 motorcycle. 9-time world champion Valentino Rossi is confirmed to race at Laguna Seca this weekend following his return in the German Grand Prix last weekend after breaking his leg in Italy six weeks ago. His teammate Jorge Lorenzo is on a tear with nothing lower than a second place this season. American riders Ben Spies, Nicky Hayden and Colin Edwards have all done well at Laguna Seca and look forward to their home track. [NC] (see story pg. XX).
