The tradition continues with the opening ceremony and cake cutting, the pet parade, chalk fest, and the pantomime of the Legend of the Blue Willow. But a tight budget has required canceling the fireworks and moving the pageant and variety show from Lovers Point to the Performing Arts Center. The event is entirely funded by donations from residents and businesses of Pacific Grove as well as friends of the Feast of Lanterns. With enough community support the Feast will be able to return to Lovers Point with fireworks over the cove. [DVD]
