With an oddball name like Fish Cat Fish, you would expect some weirdness from their music and it’s there in loads. Take one part reggae vibes, two parts funk, three parts prog-rock and a dash of Janis Joplin and you get these Sacramento natives. Most of their songs go over the 5 minute mark but with most fever dreams, you tend to lose track of time. Rachel Crister’s vocals shift in and out, sometimes breaking her ethereal layers to join in on the mayhem. Dirty for Doris and The People also play. [LC]
