Local jazz musician Nick Williams celebrates a new album release, new brand and new side of himself with an intimate performance in his home town. Playing keyboard and horns along with the Nick Williams Trio (Victor Revere on bass and Jim Baum on drums), he introduces his album Smooth Side, made up of seven original compositions that reflect a fresh, high-energy side to his jazz style. "It's like a different side of my personality that people would not expect me to be doing, and it's taken a long time to get to this point," Williams says. The performance also offers the chance to know more of Williams' history, including his backstage stories of the artists he's worked with and experiences he has encountered in his 40 years of jazz experience.
