Bring your earplugs for this one. Gnarwail, all the way from Kalispell, MT, play that good old thrash metal with Cookie Monster vocals, on songs like “Death Leprechaun” and “Murder Whore.” Also hailing from Montana, the equally loud Mageddon. The quartet took its name from an ancient weapon created by a race of now extinct Old Gods in a DC Comics comic book. The Missoula outfit has said that they keep listeners interested by delving into all the metal sub-genres. [AJ]
