Listening to The Trees is like practicing musical meditation. Reminiscent of The Most Serene Republic, this psychedelic/indie five piece transports audiences to a place of peace and higher consciousness with eclectically composed tracks and a blissful, experiential sound. There’s almost a jazz quality to pieces like “Smokey Lounge Underground” and “Monterey Bay”- they make so much sense because they don’t. The Trees has a unique perspective to offer the music world, and are definitely worth a trip. [MF]
