This Omaha, NE, quartet doesn’t do well with conformity. Nestled only into a slot they’ve coined Cowboy Mushroom Music, their free spirited songs range from the spacey Broken Social Scene-style progression of their “Instrumental #1” to their indie rock version of a bitter-sweet 50’s prom song, “Take This One From Me.” Their music rings of golden summer evenings in your hometown whether it’s in the fields of Nebraska or reaching to the beaches of Monterey. I’m still not exactly sure what Its True is trying to convince us of but they’ve made me a believer. [LC]
