Our local children (ages 18 months to five years) are getting crafty. With the help of the Monterey Recreation and Community Services Department, of course. The first program they are hosting is all about music - Musikids! Children ages 3-5 years AND a parent or guardian are invited to explore sound and movement through singing, listening, dancing and vocal play. A 4-week program, it takes place Mondays from 3:00-3:45pm, from June 21 through July 19. The total cost is $33. With the coming of July, we think of red, white, and blue. At Patriotic Pizzazz, children ages 3-5 years celebrate our Nation's birthday with fanfare: star-spangled crafts, patriotic decorations and treats. The festivities take place Friday, July 2nd, from 1:15-2:45pm. Registration is $26. When we think kids, we often think messes. And so, the program was born - Let's Get Messy! Hands on art activities using: finger paint, play dough, slime and other surprises. Children ages 18 months-3 years are invited, WITH the supervision of a parent. Two 4-week sessions are available - July 2 through July 23 and October 1 through October 29 (no class Oct. 15) - happening Fridays 9:15-10:00am. The cost is $26.
