This husband/wife duo--Aodh Og O'Tuama from Cork, Ireland, and Christy Martin from Cali--navigate a panalopy of instruments, from sitar to mandolin, from banjo to recorder, from something called a charango to something called a krumhorn, to perform a mystical, lyrical and sometimes comical array of Celtic jigs and reels. They would call them "bardic minstrels of old," but you can call it delightful music from the Emerald Isle that's a tart and sweet accompaniment to ale, dance and jolly-making.
7:30-9:30pm. The Works, 667 Lighthouse Ave., Pacific Grove. $10. 372-2242. http://theworkspg.com/.
