The animated Disney classic is being brought to life by the PacRep's School of Dramatic Arts, with music and lyrics provided by Richard Sherman, Robert Sherman and Terry Gilkyson. Director Maryann Rousseau assembles more than 50 young "stars of tomorrow" from Monterey County who have worked with professional directors, choreographers and actors to perform the song-filled celebration of friendship, fun and adventure that uses animals to teach us all lessons in morals that generaton of people have been enjoying since 1894. The collection of tales about self discovery that made it to the big screen in 1967 and was Walt Disney's last film now has the jungle jumpin' with jazz and colorful characters like Mowgli, Baloo, King Louie and the gang and includes familar favorite tunes like "The Bare Necessities" and "I Wanna' Be Like You."
