Shay and Michael Black can transport an audience to Ireland in a matter of minutes. Strums of the banjo, fiddle, and guitar, accompany songs ranging from sea shanties to ballads, contemporary folk to traditional tunes. To further this aura of travel, they choose to share both Irish and English in their songs.
The Black Brothers make a dynamite act - they combine Shay's hearty, solid bass with Michael's clear tenor. They offer crisp, blended harmonies, and strong solo acts. Together they earn rapport with their audience and generate a lively crowd. Everyone participates - some hum along, others clap their hands, and others tap their feet.
