There won't be a Thom York-Wyclef Jean duet and George Clooney won’t be manning the phones. But, the Hearts for Haiti benefit will undoubtedly generate the same spirit as any of the big Hollywood Haiti fundraisers. The show will feature more than ten local music acts including Jonah and the Whalewatchers, three comedians and magician Richard Myer. Salinas resident and Haiti native Claude Constant and Nick Williams Music of Carmel are spearheading the event in conjunction with the Monterey Bay Chapter of the American Red Cross. All proceeds will go to the Haiti Relief and Development Fund of the American Red Cross. [AJ]
