Andrew Megill is again coming to Monterey; this time he is not bringing the works of Bach to Carmel. But instead, exploring the changes in singing style each new century brings. This years workshop, "Hart to Hart" - Variations on Psalm 42 is an in-depth study of how composers: Palestrina (c. 1570), Handel (c. 1720), Mendelssohn (1837), and Howells (1941) can use a similar text (Psalm 42) to inspire musical pieces that vary in tone and style.
As a participant you are invited to both observe and sing - joining Dr. Megill as he brings joy and energy to these hymns.
Sheet music and light refreshments are provided.
