Having been at it for a decade, the Seattle quartet The Purrs craft catchy guitar rock that will sneak up on you like a pouncing house cat. "Fear of Flying" recalls Echo & the Bunnymen, while "Loose Talk" sounds like jangly rock from the late '80s. It's no wonder why these guys have opened for popular alt acts like Okkervil River and A Place to Bury Strangers. [ST]
