Devon Guthrie, a soprano masters student at the Julliard school of music will be performing works by Ottorino Respighi, Richard STrauss, contemporary composer Ricky Ian Gordon, who's written an opera based on Steinbeck's "Grapes f Wrath,'' Debuyssy and Mozart. Guthrie, a 2009 Carmel Music Society vocal competition winner, will be performing with pianist Nathan Brandwein. She has previously performed with the Manhattan School of Music Symphony Orchestra and sang the role of Donna Elvira in Mozart's "Don Giovanni'' at Massachussets' famed Tangledwood Music Festival.
