The once-and-future almost president of the United States, Nobel Prize-winning veep Al Gore will be bringing the Panetta Institute's Lecture Series to a rousing conclusion with an talk on - what else - "Our Environment: Can We Save The Planet That Sustains You." Gore, who also won an Oscar for his part in producing "An Inconvenient Truth,'' will be talking with Frank Sesno, director of the School of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University. Considered the world's most influential advocate on climate change, he has been active in the environmental movement long before the publication of his 1`992 book, "Earth Is The Balance: Ecology and the Human Spirit." Never a natural politician - the gladhanding and compromises always seemed to give him a pain, Gore, also one of the co-founders of the innovative grouo Current TV (after he invented the Internet) has found his niche in a role through whch he can speak to everyone on the planet, regardeless of political party.
