Art Events at Hilltop Park Center

The City of Monterey hosts a variety of classes and events at Hilltop Park Center to spark the imagination and creativty of the community. On Saturday May 22, the third annual Art in The Park event takes place from 10am to 3pm. Children will create art pieces from sand, stickers, stamps, and recyclables as well as decorate cupcakes and make jewelry. The Teen's n' Beads classes begin two weeks session in June running through October. Attendees will create one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces using gemstones, glass beads and charms. Classes will meet Fridays from 3:45 to 4:45pm. A Clay Play class will meet Mondays from 1:15 to 2:15pm through October giving kids the change to shape their ideas into solid form. And finally, for those more into physical activites, children's ballet clases will meet Wednesdays through November. Call Ksenia Kurtow at 646-3975 for more information on all classes.
