Miriam Hitchock at Carl Cherry Center

Hitchock was born in San Francisco, earned an MFA in painting from Yale, has taught at Brown, RISD, Cornell, Stanford and San Jose State, and currently lives in Santa Cruz. Her method is described thusly: "Hitchock works on supports made of a light, translucent paper material that seems to have been processed or, rather, drowned in some liquid medium." The work is up until May 29.
