They're calling it "clever and sexy," and a "modernized adaptation" of Lewis Carroll's fantastical story. Sounds like something right up Paper Wing's dark alley. Alice and company were recently sent into the funhouse of Tim Burton's mind, emerging a visually trippy hit movie; Pittsburg playwright James Michael Shoberg takes the story for a deviant turn, with Paper Wing's L.j. Brewer directing, transforming "Wonderland" as a grimy, urban city and staining the characters with who knows what manner of intrusive reality. [WR]
