Will Devoe, owner of the SOMOS Media Gallery, set out to do a new show where local photographers could show Salinas from a local artist’s perspective. The exhibit showcases different viewpoints that might have been overlooked by somebody who didn’t grow up in the city. The Salinas Exposed exhibit will be made up of collections from eight local photographers and filled with music by local DJ’s Mike J, Nova and DJ Moi. Mariana Martinez, owner of The Sweet Life Fine Cakes & Pastries, will provide treats for the evening’s events led by MC’s Eme7 and Lombris. SOMOS holds a new show every first Friday of the month in conjunction with Oldtown's First Friday ArtWalk. [EC]
