Karen Araujo will be the recipient at this year's ACLU Ralph Atkinson Civil Liberties Award. Araujo has been involved with the central coast as executive director of the Monterey Peace and Justin Center and groups such as Unitarian Universalist Church and the Monterey Bay Central Labor Council. She currently serves as the vice-president of the Peace Coalition of Monterey County. County supervisor Jane Parker will speak as well as Elaine Elison and Stan Yogi, authors of a book on the history of civil rights. Reservations required by mailing a check and stating number of guests.
