Salinas' official Christmas tree is erected in the hallowed lobby of the Steinbeck Center, with Mayor Donohue and Salinas reps in attendance, and the Salinas High School FFA handing out white ribbons with which people can write messages of peace to tie to the tree, shipped in by McShane's Nursery. Snacks and coffee served.
