Take a ride on the Little Black Train as they travel through the history of bluegrass music. Kenny Blackwell (mandolin), John Weed (fiddle), and Stuart Mason (vocals) strum and sing their way from the traditional Celtic folk songs of 19th century Ireland and Scotland all the way to modern fusions of old and new melodies. They make plenty of stops in between to play with Appalachian dance tunes, Depression-era gospel and blues, and folk songs of old Americana. Reservations are recommended; this train doesn't leave the station half-empty! [DC]
