Marvel at the bioluminescence created by the natural world in this illuminating exhibit opening tonight. Explore the museum's darkened corridors and see how the simple firefly and glowworm are shown in a new light (pun intended). Wonder at the bizarre dwellers of the deep, the angler fish and siphonophore. See live flashlight fish and Dinoflagellates (you’ll have to attend to find out what those are). A live art performance by Norton Wisdom, music for glow dancing, and refreshments from some of the area's tastiest confectionaries will be provided. Kids get in for free. [MF]
5-7pm. Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History, 165 Forest Ave., Pacific Grove. $10/general; free/museum members and kids. 648-5716. http://www.pgmuseum.org.
