Glow: Living Lights at Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History

This traveling exhibition shines a light on how and why animals such as fireflies, glow worms and angler fish create their own light. The show illuminates the importance of bioluminescence in such bizarre uses as detecting anthrax and finding cancer cures. Donations of $3/adult or $5/family are encouraged. Runs Oct. 2, 2010, through Jan. 2, 2011.
10am-5pm, Tues-Sun. Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History, 165 Forest Ave., Pacific Grove. Free. 648-5716. http://www.pgmuseum.org.
